Rwanda 09 – AKA Ryan in Africa

One of the absolute best parts of the Future Leaders Program is that from February 6-18th we will be going on a Global Impact (missions) trip to Rwanda. There we’ll be working with the staff of World Relief, who MBC has a 5-year partnership with in the Great Lakes region of Africa.

So some of you know that I’ve never been outside of the country before, unless you count the two hours I spent driving through Canada, which I don’t. Stopping for gas and pizza in Canada doesn’t really count as international experience, but I digress. Anyhow, I’m REALLY pumped for this trip, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what God does in me and through me for those 12 days.

One of the fun things about the Future Leaders Program is that there is such a wide range of passions that people have. We have at least four Future Leaders who are extremely passionate about missions and their enthusiasm is contagious. Heck, Natalie is even teaching us Kinyarwandan!

If you want, you can make a contribution to help me get there. And I would like to stress that I truly do covet prayers while I am over there. I have no idea what it is going to be like, and I’m both nervous and excited.

To make a contribution, you can donate online at www.frontlinedc.com/global. Click on ‘Giving and Support’ and follow the instructions. If asked to log in with a username and password, you will not be added to any mailing list or promotional materials. Select the “Future Leaders – Rwanda” team from the drop down menu and enter my name (or another team member!). If you would like to make an anonymous donation, under team member name type ‘General – Anonymous.’ All contributions are tax deductible. If our financial goal is met, all excess funds will be applied to either the needs directly related to this trip or to fund additional mission needs within the Global Impact ministry.
