Why does everything close at 10:00 pm?

Seriously. I was trying to do some last minute shopping for my trip and Target, Wal-Mart, Giant and Rite-Aid were all closed. I finally found a 24-Hour CVS, but I couldn’t get everything I wanted (although I managed to get everything I needed).

Seriously though. What’s the deal with 10:00 pm? I guess it’s all part of living in the burbs. If I was in DC this wouldn’t be a problem…

Oh, and I’m trying to stay up all night, because I have a 17 hour plane ride that leaves at 9:00 AM.
