The Gathering Blog
Visit Site: www.thegatheringblog.com Project: Created a new self-hosted Wordpress Blog for John McGowan and The Gathering, Frontline's college ministry. Notes: I was a part of The Gathering through college, and I'm a HUGE fan of what they're doing, so I just wanted to do my part and give em a sweet blog. Theme based off of "Pink My Ride" by John Saddington (aka Human3rror).
Frontline Campus Sites
Visit Sites: www.frontlinetysons.com, www.frontlinearlington.com, www.frontlinesilverspring.com, www.frontlinelive.com, www.frontlineprincewilliam.com Project: Created the Campus websites for Frontline, the Young Adult Ministry of McLean Bible Church (aka where I work). Notes: I LOVED getting the opportunity to completely re-launch the Frontline Campus sites. As Frontline moved to multiple campuses, we had to re-think our presence on the web. I also love the integration of the blogs into the site, helping Frontline be more social!
DayBreak Ministry
Visit Site: www.daybreakkids.org Project: Created a website for DayBreak Ministry, an inner-city ministry devoted to serving the children, families and individuals on an on-going basis in the community of Lincoln Heights in northeast Washington, DC. Notes: This site was a lot of fun to do. The Director, Lauren, is a good friend, and we wanted to update their current site to something a lot cleaner and easier to navigate. I thought the dark background worked well with the HUGE feature image area.
Frontline DC Facebook Page
Visit Site: www.facebook.com/frontlinedc Project: Created a special splash page for Frontline's Facebook Fan Page. Notes: This was my first real attempt at working to create a "Welcome page" for a Frontline Fan Page...I knew it could be done, and after some google fu I figured out how to set it up. After that it was just creating the images and laying them out. I think it's pretty sweet. One issue I have though is that Facebook forces people who are already fans to land on the "wall" tab, instead of the "welcome" tab, which non-fans and people who aren't logged in land on. Oh well!
Here are some samples of the websites I've been creating. I do my work in Wordpress. I'm still learning and getting better, for sure. Graphics sometimes done by others, but design/layout/concept/coding all done by yours truly. Anyhow, check out some of the sites I've created. Just click on any image for more info!
I also create custom Facebook Fan Pages. See below for some samples of what I've done.
